Services for Adults
Ruth offers a range of professional psychology services to adults, either individually or together with selected loved ones.
Ruth focuses on helping adults who have experienced traumatic life events. For many people, past trauma may be experienced as if it is still happening in the present. A person may feel they are re-living the past event, or re-experiencing the emotions they did at the time of trauma. Thoughts, memories, flashbacks, nightmares might intrude into their daily life. Often a person will find this happens with no sense of being in control of when or how these happen.
Without being aware of it, reminders of past trauma can trigger reactions in the present. Reactions might be: heart palpitations, a sudden desire to escape, a sense of shame, harsh self critical thinking, emotions that are out of proportion to what is happening now, or out of control.
Ruth helps people build new skills and strategies to live a life to turn-around the impacts of trauma and turn trauma into triumph. More about Services for Adults
